HOW TO BUY FESTIVAL TICKETS
Tickets are on sale in Galle: Mama's Rooftop Cafe 76 Leyn Baan Street Galle Fort (Weekdays 10am-5pm, Sat 10am-3pm). Both cash , cheques and credit cards are accepted. The Colombo & Online box offices is now closed. Mamma's remains open until the 18th Jan and re locates to the Lit Cafe on 19th Jan
Individual Event Passes
These tickets may purchased for any individual event within the programme and are specific to that event.
Day Passes
A Day Pass may be purchased for a specific day of the Festival and gives you entry to all MAIN EVENTS (which take place in Hall de Galle and the Maritime Museum) in the programme on that day. This ticket does not cover Tours, Workshops or Gourmet Events.
4-Day Festival Pass
A 4-Day Festival Pass will give you to entry to all MAIN EVENTS (which take place in Hall de Galle and the Maritime Museum) in the Festival programme, over the four days of the festival.
This ticket does not cover Tours, Workshops or Gourmet Events.
Student Passes*
*Students include those people under 21 showing proof of age, or those with a valid student ID card. Student tickets will only be available from the Box Offices in Colombo and Galle.
Students can buy event passes at a concessionary rate. There will be no concessionary rates for Tours, Workshops and Gourmet Events.
Children’s Programme
The dedicated children’s programme for 5 -14 year olds is ticketed by day and age group (5-7, 8-11, 12-14). As numbers are limited, please book early to avoid disappointment. Please go to the Children’s Programme page of the website for more information or consult printed programmes available at the Box Offices.
Children’s Tickets are not available online so if you are booking from abroad please email info.galleliteraryfestival@gmail.com to check for availability and make reservations. You will be able to pay for these tickets on arrival at the Festival Box Office. Please note this option is only available to those booking from overseas.
The Festival Box Offices
Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (SLR) and in US Dollars (US$).
For customers buying tickets online, tickets will be charged at the US dollar rate. For Students* and those people paying in Sri Lankan Rupees tickets can only be purchased from the festival box offices in Colombo and Galle.
Cash, and cheques (with guarantee card) will be accepted at the walk-up box offices.

Festival Box Office:
During the Festival, from Thursday 19th January, there will be just one Festival Box Office located in the Sports Hall, adjacent to the Hall de Galle, the main festival Venue. The other Box Offices will close on Saturday 14th January.

Tickets of all types may be purchased online through Paypal on the Programme page and be collected at the Galle Box Office, listed below. Please note that when tickets are shown as SOLD OUT online, there may still be tickets available from the box offices.
