
Lal Medawattegedara is the author of two collections of short stories: The Window Cleaner’s Soul (short-listed Gratiaen Award 2002) and Can You Hear me Running (Zeus Publications). His work has appeared on BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, The Khaleej Times, The Times of India & Channels magazine. He was the main resource person for the British Council’s Young Learner’s Centre creative writing project “First Flight”. He was the editor of the 2009 Channels magazine and is currently writing a novel.
